Thanks for visiting! I’m a contemporary fantasy author and professional editor from Canada. My debut novel, Fortune’s Shadow, is available at the following retailers, and you can find my Goodreads page here. Although Fortune’s Shadow can be read as a standalone story, a sequel is in the works for publication later in 2021. If you’d like to be notified about upcoming works and events, please subscribe to my newsletter.
I write occasional blog posts about my experiences with writing, editing and self-publishing. You may also want to check out my previous blog, Doorway Between Worlds (currently on hiatus), where I have written a collection of communication tips with a creative twist.
At this time I am not taking on any new editing clients, but I recommend the Editors Canada directory if you’re looking for an editor.
Wishing you all the best!

I have bookmarked this. Now, I don’t know if my MicroStories need much editing, but maybe one day I’ll write a real one. And you’d be my choice. Good luck with this new and cool venture!

“Gone cross-eyed” is right. It’s amazing how many times you can look at something and still miss mistakes. Editing is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. I’m really glad you made the leap into this new venture!! I’ll be sending a testimonial.

I am so thrilled about this new site and venture for you, Sue. If folks will find even a sliver of the bountiful, treasured instruction I have already received from you, they will be truly fortunate indeed.
I’m certain your hands will raise a giant STOP sign shortly. Putting my ear to the ground, I can hear the stampede growing closer.
Congratulations on this next chapter, Sue!
